The line-up for 2019’s Glasgow Film Festival includes the UK premieres of two nautical titles: Maiden and Last Breath.
Maiden, the inspiring story of Tracy Edwards and the first-ever all-female crew to sail the Whitbread race, screened to packed audiences. Cinemagoers were also treated to a post-film Q&A with Tracy and former Maiden crewmember Sally Hunter. If you couldn’t quite make it to Glasgow, Maiden previews take place across the country followed by a live satellite with Tracy Edwards and special guests on 7 March. Get tickets here.
Last Breath has its UK premiere on 28 February. Last Breath is a nail-biting account of one man’s fight for survival, as he is stranded on the seabed with only five minutes of oxygen remaining but no chance of rescue for thirty minutes. This title will be released in cinemas and on demand 5 April.
