ALEX PARKINSON
Alex Parkinson is a producer, and Co-Creative Director at Floating Harbour Features. Starting out as an editor, Alex has more than 15 years of experience producing and directing documentaries for a variety of global broadcasters, including the BBC, National Geographic, History and Animal Planet. He has made more than 70 hours of films with a combined budget in excess of 10 million pounds and regularly achieves audiences of 50 million in over 100 countries. Powerful storytelling has always been at the heart of his work, with subjects ranging from Martin McGuinness and the Northern Ireland Peace Process, to making wildlife films for one of the world’s largest cinema screens. This breadth of experience has made Alex highly-skilled at conceiving, planning and delivering editorially-complex shoots in often challenging environments; from remote jungles to multi-camera studio shoots —including underwater filming.
RICHARD DA COSTA
Richard Da Costa has been professionally telling stories since 1992, working as an actor, before moving into writing and directing. He has worked for major theatres on everything from Shakespeare to children’s shows, including as writer/director: Planet Time (adaptation), Treasure Island (adaptation), and The Adventures of Robin Hood. He has worked for BBC TV and Radio, as well as for ITV, Sky Movies, Channel Four and Sky Sports. Through his producing work, Richard is highly-accomplished in all areas of production, and up-to-date with current technology. Richard is the founder of Floating Harbour Films.
