Halston UK premiere at BFI FLare

This weekend, BFI Flare plays host to the UK premiere of Frédéric Tcheng’s Halston.

The film follows legendary fashion designer Roy Halston Frowick who paved the way for American high end fashion. The film looks back through Halston’s rise and fall, a country boy come iconic fashion designer and socialite, frequenting Studio 54 alongside the likes of Liza Minnelli and Elizabeth Taylor. The film captures the highs and the lows, as Halston eventually crumbles under the pressures of addiction and business.

The film is followed by Q&As with director Frederic Tcheng who is also in town a post-film discussion of Dior and I. The sold-out members screening at the V&A accompanies the Dior exhibition Inside the Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams .

Halston will be released in cinemas and on demand on 7 June.
