From supporting the Bosnian Mujahideen to being imprisoned in Bagram and Guantanamo, from the rebel training camps in Syria to the prison cells of Belmarsh in Britain, Moazzam Begg has experienced a generation of conflict. This is his first-hand account, a chronicle of the rise of modern jihad, its descent into terror and the disastrous reaction of the West.

Ashish Ghadiali
Ashish has worked as screenwriter for producers including Shekhar Kapur (Elizabeth, Bandit Queen) and Josef Aichholzer (The Counterfeiters) and as the Director of The Freedom Theatre Film Unit in Jenin Refugee Camp, Palestine. His short films, Love in a Time of Death (Writer/Director) and Jacked (Writer) have both been recently produced by Film London, and another, Encounter (Writer/Director)produced by Mukta Arts in Mumbai, launched the career of Nimrat Kaur (The Lunchbox). Ashish was the first person to graduate from NYU's film school in Singapore, Tisch Asia, where he attended through the support of the UK Film Council John Brabourne Award and trained under Oliver Stone. The Confession is Ashish’s first feature documentary.
