The Rescue is my favourite documentary of the year.

The Rescue is a darn good documentary that really brings to live the insane complexity of the problem of extracting 13 Thai boys from a flooded cave complex and the socially maladjusted cave-diving nerds that are the only ones up to solving it. Armageddon, eat your heart out.

Just saw the documentary THE RESCUE - How insanely stressful for all involved ( including me watching it!) but defo worth seeing. A warming reminder of how brilliant humans can be when we pitch in to help others. Those divers though, so effing brave🙏🏽 #ThaiCaveRescue

#TheRescue is a compelling, breathtaking documentary. Told with such humanity and heart, it’s thrilling even if you know how the story ends.

Saw an excellent documentary film called #TheRescue tonight. It is about the rescue in 2018 of a Thai boys soccer team and their coach trapped in a water filled cave. P

Like the rest of the world I followed the Thailand cave rescue in 2018 but seeing #TheRescue really brings home the magnitude of what these divers did. I’ve watched and cried through it twice - a story truly worthy of the ‘miracle’ headlines and a stunning documentary @natgeodocs pic.twitter.com/oTf20rtH1n

THE RESCUE chronicles the dramatic 2018 rescue of 12 Thai boys and their soccer coach, trapped deep inside a flooded cave. Academy Award®-winning directors and producers E. Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin reveal the perilous world of cave diving, the bravery of the rescuers, and the dedication of an entire community that made great sacrifices to save these young boys. An outing to explore a nearby system of caves after soccer practice transformed into a two-week saga of survival and a story that would capture the world’s attention. With exclusive access and never-before-seen footage from the rescue, the film tells the story of the imagination, determination and unprecedented teamwork displayed during this heroic edge-of-your-seat mission with life-or-death stakes.
