The full programme for the 2022 edition of Sheffield DocFest is finally out!
The festival itself is set to take place on the 23-28 June, with the 2022 programme screening 135 films in total, including 38 world premieres.
Among an incredible selection of titles, the UK’s leading documentary festival features three incredible Dogwoof releases. Sheffield is a perfect home for the UK premieres of: McEnroe by Barney Douglas, the ultimate biopic of the iconic tennis legend John McEnroe, The Territory by Alex Pritz, an insightful doc about the defence of land narrated through the eyes of Brazil’s indigenous community, and Midwives by Hnin Ei Hlaing, exploring the interactions and tensions between a Buddhist Bamar midwife and her Muslim Rohingya apprentice.
