Sheffield Doc/Fest 2022 will run from June 23 to June 28 and they just announced Guest Curator Asif Kapadia’s selection of films that will form part of his contribution to this year’s Festival.
His selection unveils titles that inspired his own filmmaking style and had a significant and personal impact on him, from renowed filmmakers such as Martin Scorsese’s Italianamerican, Claude Lelouch’s C’Était un Rendez-Vous to undiscovered gems such as Dark Days and Fourteen Days in May.

Asif Kapadia says: “This selection is personal to me, as someone who grew up in Hackney in the 1970s and 1980s. I didn’t come from an art or film background. It was quite profound to know that it was possible for someone to make films like these.”
