Who was Nam June Paik? Heralded as the father of video art, Paik was a Korean American artist who pushed the boundaries of art revolutionising the use of technology as an artistic canvas. Paik's legacy shaped the art and technology of today. In 1974 Paik coined the term 'electronic superhighway' foreseeing our digital behaviours and global communications through the internet. Paik was also known for his collaborations with other artists, musicians, and performers, such as John Cage and Yoko Ono.
