We’re over the moon at the news that Apollo 11 is the highest-grossing documentary of 2019. The film crossed the £1 million mark in style on the 50th moon landing anniversary weekend.
The epic space adventure beat Aretha Franklin performance doc Amazing Grace and Diego Maradona biopic Maradona to become the year’s number 1 documentary. Apollo 11 follows in the footsteps of our 2018 hit film Free Solo to become one of only 15 documentaries to have grossed over £1 million in the UK.
