The Griersons recognise integrity and overall excellence in documentary film and we are proud to announce that two of our films, Machines and Weiner, have won awards. The Grierson Trust was established in 1972 and the Greirsons are regarded as one of the biggest documentary events of the year. The awards are an homage to the legendary father of documentary, a pioneer of the art form. It is an honour to win alongside some incredible documentaries nominated at this year’s awards.
The awards were presented on 6 November by actor Stephen Mangan at The Mermaid, London. Rahul Jain's mesmerising Machines took home the Winner Best Single Documentary – International while the hilarious Josh Kriegman and Elyse Steinberg's hilarious Weiner landed Best Cinema Documentary. Congratulations to all the films nominated for the award.
