Nick Broomfield's WHITNEY 'Can I Be Me' received a standing ovation at the live premiere event on Sunday 11 June. One of the headliners for this year's Sheffield Doc/Fest, the sell-out screening was a treat for audiences who were able to press their questions to Broomfield during live Q&A after the film.
Thanks to the BFI Audience Award, the premiere event was broadcast live to over 140 cinema screens across the country. Viewers were encouraged to take part in the discussion and tweet their questions which were put to Nick by TV presenter and former Radio 1Xtra DJ Sarah-Jane Crawford.
The stellar event went out with a bang as The Voice UK finalist and former Whitney Houston backup vocalist took to the stage singing three of Whitney's greatest hits - "I Have Nothing", "I'm Every Woman" and a goosebump-inducing rendition of "I Will Always Love You".
If you missed the live premiere you can watch Nick Broomfield's compelling new biopic in cinemas from Friday 16 June.
