Sundance London Film Festival have announced their 2017 lineup and Dogwoof's Dina is among 14 films selected to screen across the four-day festival, taking place between the 1-4 June at Picturehouse Central.
Dina is the story of an eccentric suburban woman and a Walmart door-greeter who navigate their evolving relationship in an unconventional non-fiction love story.
This will be the first London screening of Dina, which has been having huge success at US festivals, taking home the Grand Jury Prize for US Documentary at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and gaining three other awards at Sarasota, Sun Valley and Palm Beach festivals.
Sundance London will open with the UK premiere of David Lowery’s A Ghost Story, starring Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara. Other highlights include autobiographical comedy The Big Sick written by and starring Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), and Craig Johnson's dramedy Wilson starring Woody Harrelson. This year, the festival will also host a special 'Surprise Film' as well as a short film strand, events, panels, and more.
At last year's festival, Dogwoof films Weiner, Author: The JT Leroy Story, and Oscar-nominated Life, Animated were all featured in the line up. All three titles are available to purchase now on DVD through the Dogwoof Shop.
Dina will be showing on Friday 2 June at 16.00 and on Saturday 3 June at 16.15 at Picturehouse Central. Festival passes and VIP passes can be purchased now from the link below for Picturehouse members and Passholders. Passes and individual tickets will go on general sale from 09.30 on Tuesday 2 May.
