Dogwoof had an incredible evening last night with the screening of All This Panic in Hackney Picture House. First the audience enjoyed a screening of the film followed by a Q&A with filmmakers Jenny Gage and Tom Betterton and one of the stars of the film, Olivia.
To give one person in the audience the chance to win a DVD package from Dogwoof, featuring strong female characters, we asked the audience which advice they would give to their teenage selves. Here are some of our favourite answers ❤:
"Calm down, breathe. People care about you, people love you. You deserve all the good things that might happen to you."
- Nelly
"You are gonna have sex, it's fine. Don't you worry so much about your body and what people will think about it. Your lumps and bumps are lovable and attractive."
- Felicia
"Don't be ruled by fear, jump in headfirst. Do everything!"
- Aida
"STOP FREAKING OUT."
"Meet as many people that are as different from you as possible. They will enrich you in more ways than you know."
"Enjoy the time you can spend with your family. It will be hard to get everyone back in one room once you grow up!"
- Nora

In case you missed the screenings: All This Panic is a feature length documentary that takes an intimate look at the interior lives of a group of teenage girls as they come of age in Brooklyn. A potent mix of vivid portraiture and vérité, we follow the girls as they navigate the ephemeral and fleeting transition between childhood and adulthood.
