The Spirit of '45 Day announced for Sheffield Doc/Fest

We are very excited to announce Spirit of '45 Day as part of the 2013 Sheffield Doc/Fest programme. Our recent Ken Loach documentary will be screened as part of a special event on Saturday June 15th, with events planned all day to tie in to the films themes.

The event will be held at Queen's Social Club from 2pm-1am and will include film screenings, live music and poetry, including:

• A screening of the The Spirit of '45
• Live score for John Grierson’s 1929 silent documentary Drifters, performed by beatboxer Jason Singh
• A performance from English teacher turned rap battler and poet Mark Grist
• Live music from Manchester trio Age of Glass  and acoustic singer-songwriter Leonie Evans
• Poetry from Gav Roberts
• Film installations by Exploding Cinema
• Footage from the BFI steel archive
• DJ sets from Jack Opus and Now Then DJs
