Dogwoof has closed a deal with Submarine to handle international sales for the documentary Dior and I, directed by Frédéric Tcheng – a behind the scenes look at the historic French fashion house which made its world premiere earlier this year at Tribeca.
The deal was brokered by Anna Godas, CEO of Dogwoof, with David Koh and Josh Braun of Submarine, and will see Dogwoof handle all international sales outside of North America in addition to releasing the film across all platforms in the UK through its distribution arm.
Anna Godas, Dogwoof: “Dior and I is a mesmerizing story, an honest look at the heart of the house of Dior. It’s ultimately a story about change, tradition, and genius backstage artists. Frederic’s unique eye captures emotions like no other in a story which is in turn both captivating and highly entertaining.”
"We are excited to work with our dear friends at Dogwoof on another exemplary film and on another successful collaboration. The filmmakers are in great hands and we are excited to share this special film around the world." David Koh and Josh Braun, Submarine
Directed by Frédéric Tcheng who has a strong heritage of making fashion documentaries, having previously co-directed the hugely successful Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel(2011), and co-produced Valentino: The Last Emperor (2008). Dior and I is a fascinating look inside one of the fashion world’s most cherished houses as they welcome in the new artistic director Raf Simons and deliver his first couture collection.
"Dogwoof responded to the film with a lot of passion, which is ultimately the most important factor for us as filmmakers. And their track record is getting more impressive every year." Frederic Tcheng, Director
