The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution chronicles the rise and the fall of the famed Black Panther Party throughout America's turbulent 60's, 70's, and early 80's period. With the war in Vietnam raging on, many Americans were fighting their own battles at home as civil unrest and a new revolutionary culture was gaining momentum. The Black Panther Party for Self Defense appointed themselves the harbingers of change. Through their radical and militant methods the Black Panthers would become, as the film's title suggests, the vanguards of the revolution. They would inspire not only black Americans to fight for their rights, but also those whom want to see an America where everyone is treated equal. With stunning archival footage and intimate interviews with numerous Black Panthers who were there, The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution offers a feature length and never-before-seen look into the orgnization that changed America and fought to give power to the people.
