MEET ME IN THE BATHROOM is an immersive journey through the New York music scene of the early 2000s, featuring never-before-seen footage of artists like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Strokes, Interpol and LCD Soundsystem. Set against the backdrop of 9/11, the film tells the story of how a new generation kick started a musical rebirth for New York City that reverberated around the world. Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace have a solid history making of music films, beginning with the Grammy and Grierson nominated ‘No Distance Left to Run’ about British band Blur. They followed this with the seminal LCD Soundsystem documentary ‘Shut Up and Play the Hits’ which premiered at Sundance and played to rapturous audiences theatrically in 2012. The film regularly appears in lists of ‘The greatest music documentaries of all time’ (Rolling Stone, NME, The Guardian). The directing duo started out in the world of music videos working with artists including Bjork, Jack White, The Fall, Franz Ferdinand and Arctic Monkeys.
